1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using ServaVid (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. What the Service does
ServaVid helps users retrieve media from publicly available Snapchat pages — for example public profiles, public stories, highlights and public Spotlight links. The Service reads public pages and streams the media that Snapchat makes available to the web. It does not log in to Snapchat, bypass privacy settings, access private accounts, decrypt protected content, or retrieve messages, chats or private memories.
Availability, supported link types and output quality may change at any time. Snapchat can change its pages or block requests, and some links may stop working. We do not guarantee that every link or video will be available.
3. No affiliation with Snapchat
Snapchat, Snap Inc., the Snapchat ghost logo and related marks are trademarks of Snap Inc. ServaVid is not affiliated with Snap Inc. We do not claim any ownership of Snapchat's trademarks, content or services. All third-party names are used only for identification and descriptive purposes.
4. Ownership and limited licence
You retain ownership of the content you create. The Service does not transfer copyright or other rights to you. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to download, save, reproduce or use any content you access through the Service.
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, scrape, mirror or systematically extract the Service or its output without our prior written permission.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- access private, restricted or password-protected content;
- infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- harass, stalk, dox or harm another person;
- download or distribute content without the rights holder's permission;
- send automated, excessive or abusive requests, or attempt to bypass rate limits;
- introduce malware, interfere with the Service, or probe its infrastructure without authorization;
- violate any applicable law, including data protection, copyright and platform rules.
We may suspend or block access if we reasonably believe you are abusing the Service or violating these terms.
6. Copyright and takedown requests
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content made available through the Service infringes your copyright, contact contact@servavid.com with:
- your name and contact details;
- identification of the copyrighted work;
- the exact URL or description of the material at issue;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized;
- a statement that the information is accurate, and that you are authorized to act for the rights holder.
Because ServaVid does not host a library of downloaded videos, we cannot remove files from users' devices. We can, however, block specific links or content from being resolved through the Service where appropriate.
7. Watermarks and source quality
Some public Snapchat renditions — particularly Spotlight sharing videos — may contain a Snapchat watermark or creator attribution that is embedded in the source file. ServaVid does not add watermarks, but it also does not remove watermarks from third-party content. The output is the version Snapchat serves publicly, and its quality may be lower than the version available inside the Snapchat app.
8. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that downloads will be complete, current, high-definition, watermark-free or available at any particular time.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ServaVid and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill or content, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which is zero for the free Service), or (b) EUR 50.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ServaVid and its operators from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third-party right.
11. Third-party links and services
The Service links to or relies on third-party services, including Snapchat and Google Fonts, and may display third-party advertising. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those third parties. Your use of a third-party service is governed by its own terms.
12. Changes and termination
We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service, or update these terms, at any time. The “Last updated” date shows the current version. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights available to you under local law. Disputes should first be raised with us at contact@servavid.com so we can try to resolve them informally.
14. Contact
